Help for Employers with National Insurance Threshold

The secondary threshold, which is the point at which employers start to pay Class 1 NiC secondary contributions, is to be increased by an extra £21.00 per week above indexation.

This will create a welcomed saving for businesses on the cost of employing staff. The proposed increase from 12.8% to 13.8% has also been abandoned by the coalition government and the current rate of 12.8% is set to continue.
